Weekly Athletics Update!
Red Devil Fans,
Week three of the 2024 fall sports kicked off the regular season for Football, Tennis and Volleyball, it also included continued success by our Golf Teams! Below are the highlights from fall week 3! The Red Devil Recap, the event schedule, and the transportation schedule for Fall Week 4 are attached!
Highlights from last week:
The Boys Golf Team picked up 7 wins this week! They defeated Altoona (406-411) in an 18 hole match at Park Hills GC on Tuesday! They then went on to sweep their LHAC Section 2 (9 Hole Match) at Iron Masters this past Thursday picking up 6 wins over Bellwood Antis (165-198), Tyrone (165-185), Penn Cambria (165-191), Bishop Carroll (165-194), Central (165-170) and Bishop Guilfoyle (165-171).
The Girls Golf Team picked up 2 wins this week over Altoona (149-152) at Park Hills GC and Richland (150-170) at Windber CC.
The Tennis Team opened up their season with 2 wins over Clearfield (4-1) and Huntingdon (5-0).
The Varsity Volleyball Team competed in the Nittany Valley Rally this past Saturday at the Nittany Valley Recreation Centre and placed 9th out of 11 teams and picked up a win over St. Joseph's (2-0). The JV Volleyball Team competed in Central HS's JV Cove Clash this past Saturday. The Girls were the Team Champions of the 8 Team Tourney, picking up wins over Northern Bedford (2-0), Bishop Carroll (1-0) and Central (2-1).
